Graduates‘ profile

Graduates have theoretical knowledge about the processes of genesis, migration and accumulation of hydrocarbons in petroleum systems, and sources, processes of accumulation and heat transfer in natural geothermal systems at a level corresponding to a master’s degree.

Graduates also master techniques of oil and gas exploration and production, have practical skills for work in the laboratory and in production facilities. Graduates master techniques of computer data processing, can interpret drilling, petrophysical, geophysical and production data, and understand technical aspects of production including reservoir evaluation, drilling and well management, separation processes, production technologies and advanced oil production methods at the master’s level. Graduates understand the issues of underground reservoirs for deep storage of natural gas and hydrogen, CO2 sequestration and use of geothermal energy sources, and master geological, geophysical methods of exploration and engineering of underground reservoirs.

Graduates are theoretically and practically equipped to solve complex tasks in practice, lead smaller project teams and design innovative solutions at the appropriate level of higher education.

Graduates are prepared to study in doctoral study programs in the field of petroleum engineering, petroleum geology and geo-environmental sciences
